        If 'iic* at i2cbus?' is included directly in the kernel config,
        the i2c bus interface of piixpm attaches correctly.  However, if
        module iic is loaded (either from within the boot loader, or
        manually after the system is fully booted), no attachment occurs.

        I'll be investigating this bug, just filing the PR to make sure
        it doesn't get lost.
