        Starting with 6.1 (perhaps 6.0 too) the file /usr/include/netinet6/esp.h
        is gone. I'm not shure why, but it may be related to the switch to the
        FAST-IPSEC implementation as default.
        The file from /usr/src/sys/netipsec/esp.h is not installed.
        This is bad, because user level programs that need the esp and/or newesp
        structure definition fails to compile.

        Try to compile a program that needs "struct newesp". There is no way to
        compile it without adding the definition to the sources.

        Install either /usr/include/netinet6/esp.h and/or 
/usr/include/netipsec/esp.h again.
