NetBSD 8.0_BETA hppa
>Description:
Netbooting netinstall.lif or SYSNBSD (i. e. lif images) from -8 or HEAD from nycdn is not possible on my 712/60. Loading hangs forever already after:
BOOT_ADMIN> boot lan
Booting
A -7 netinstall.lif, with identical setup from above, will load and boot the kernel, but hang after "mem0 at mainbus0", see port-hppa/52162. This can be worked around as per the PR.
I built a HEAD release myself on a 32-bit i386 (as I suggested it could have to do with switching the NB daily build machines to 64 bit), but my netinstall.lif from this is still not loadable over network, as above.
>How-To-Repeat:
Try to netboot netinstall.lif or SYSNBSD from -8 or HEAD on a 712/60, or probably any other hppa machine.
