I have applied it with some modifications:

- Regarding empty.gif use I have removed the part about Netscape
- `Sites running NetBSD' patch hunk was applied as-is
- `NetBSD in action' (despite it had some dust, whoops!) notes are
  still useful, so the hunk was not applied
- The `Newsforge' reference was removed (I have only deleted the
  no more needed `,' in the hunk)
