Thanks, yours is AHCI, so different case.

This is what I discovered by code inspection for changes of wd(4) for
dksubr conversion. I don't really expect this to change anything, but
worth try.
Next step would be trying with following two files downgraded to
revision before the dksubr changes, i.e.:
sys/dev/ata/wd.c rev. 1.433
sys/dev/ata/wdvar.h rev. 1.44
