 I can test a kernel from -current, but I won't be able to do so right
 away. The other challenge is: I've normally encountered this when the
 machine hangs while probing for the graphics card, and then I plug in
 a USB keyboard. The probe hang happens only intermittently; I don't
 know how to reliably trigger this precursor. Anyway, it's on my list.
