 In that case uname(1) (and vers.c) on the built kernel will also say
 > NetBSD 8.0.01 (GENERIC) #1: Mon Sep 24 11:58:36 JST 2018

 There is an old discussion about __NetBSD_Version__ for release branches
 but there is no conclusion?
