Building of just the kernel is broken. I can do:
/usr/src/build.sh -O /var/shm/obj/amd64 -T /var/shm/obj/tools.amd64 -U -u -x -m amd64 -j$JOBS tools release install-image

However, this fails:
/usr/src/build.sh -O /var/shm/obj/amd64 -T /var/shm/obj/tools.amd64 -U -u -m amd64 -j$JOBS kernel=GENERIC

I was asked why I use /var/shm. I have 48G of RAM and it was the easiest way I could think of to build in RAM.
