You're right, the comment is wrong.   I have been intending to change that for
a while, but you're also right that it isn't very important, so it hasn't
exactly been clamoring to be fixed.

I plan on altering the way that code works (not the effect in any rational
cases) as well, so it would be easier to add options sanely, should we
ever want to.

I will fix this sometime relatively soon... (but everything is relative).
