ah - i just noticed that my system is has an older netbsd-10 kernel, that does not have revision 1.24.4.3 included, but also that netbsd-10 itself is missing rev 1.29, which fixed some hangs for mlelstv and made this problem less bad for wiz. so that may be all i am seeing.. .mrg.
