Hmmm...the August 1st code is what I run on my production machines. I've found
that actually, later versions have been buggier ( at least for my usage - i
haven't tried to oct 31 release however). I've compile X and various other
things and my longest running machine has been up since August 3rd - it
regularaly compiles large programs, etc ( as a matter of fact, it's where all
the code for our production machines are compiled ).
The machine I'm refering too is a 486DX266 with 2GB SCSI disk on an AHA1542CF.
It's disk is running almost constantly;)
I don't know if it's my misimpression, but I've seen more bug reports come
through on releases after aug 1/2 than before. *shrug*
Good luck, I'd be interested in knowing your results, as I've been waffling
on the decision on whether to move to a more recent version of the code.
Cheers,
Jake
