I want to run NetBSD 1.0 on my 486.  However, I also want to run the
   Xinside Inc AccelX X server as well.  They sell it for FreeBSD 2.0, but
   not for NetBSD.  WIll FreeBSD binaries work under NetBSD 1.0??

I don't know of any reason it shouldn't work, but that doesn't mean
much.

   If so, I will definately make the plunge.  XInside reps told me they dont
   make it for NetBSD because the core team refused commercial products or
   some such jazzz

That's `interesting'.  I specifically asked them if they were going to
port it to NetBSD, and they told *me* that they wanted to see how well
the FreeBSD version sold first.
