I have used the BSDI Netscape under NetBSD 1.0 and can vouch that it does 
indeed work.  If you're using XFree86 3.1, you'll also need to install 
the nls fix (stupid hard-coded R5ism) found in the SunOS-sparc file...

And yes, Netscape is a much nicer browser!
