Thanks for your hint about mosaic.

I successfully installed your Mosaic-2.4.static.gz under NetBSD 1.0 and
XFree86 3.1 / X11R6. 

It runs smoothly using cern_httpd which I installed as a proxy server
for http under NetBSD as well, and by a ppp-supported phone line for
internet access.

I tried the same thing with chimera 1.63 (which has the advantage to
not depend on the motif sources), however, its caching
strategy does not seem to work right. 

In case you have a dynamically linked mosaic binary for XFree86 3.1 please
let me know.
