The trackpoint is supposed to be compatible with the PS/2 mouse, so
that's what I told XF86Config that I have.
The `pms' driver exports the same interface as the `lms' and `mms'
drivers. You need to tell XFree86 that it's a `Busmouse'.
I'm running the stock pms driver, except that I had to comment out
part of the pmsprobe() routine [...]
I fixed an error in the probe routine that caused it to fail on some
machines, some time after 1.0.
