I'd like to use my HP DeskJet under NetBSD 1.0 (Amiga 3000) and I found a
file 'apsfilter' on ftp.uni-regensburg.de. I installed it as described, but
I think I need /dev/lp or something alike. MAKEDEV doesn't know about a
device lp or lp1 and I know only very little about how a printer has to be
configured on UNIX (I altered /etc/printcap, but that's about all I know).
Are there any FTP-able documents which describe the installation of the HP
DeskJet printer? Or could you (yes *you* :) be so kind and help me with my
problems? As I said, UNIX device management is terra incognita to me...
MfG, Ralph
