If you run 'man adduser' it tells you its a procedure for adding
a user, not a program.
Basically you run vipw & the add in another entry - copy a different
line & modify the account, uid & home directory.
v--uid v-home directory
ernie::25:30::0:0:Ernie Kovacs,508 Evans:/a/users/ernie:/bin/csh
^account
To change the hostname edit the file /etc/myname & name sure the new
name is in /etc/hosts... If you want the network to work you need to
have a file /etc/hostname.INTERFACE (ie /etc/hostname.le0) containing
'inet HOSTNAME' where HOSTNAME is the new hostname you picked.
I guess there should be an FAQ that covers this - (in proper
detail unlike I just have :)... but I dont know where it is -
anybody?
If not - anybody care to write a man page like 'adduser' which
covers the 'welcome to your first root prompt' situation? :)
