Alright, I cannot install NetBSD-1.0 onto my amiga. I will give you my <current) hardware setup, and the resulting error code.
Amiga a3000 25, 50mhz FPU
8M SCzips on board
Oktagon 2008 controller controlling Maxtor sc7120 ans Micropolis 4410-AV 1gig
I am using the Micropolis Gig dor the partition drive for NetBSD.
I can't currently use the a3000 interneal scsi, it is not working right. (will get it fixed)
Soon, I will also have Retina ZIII and Merlin GFX boards, and a DKB 3128 Ram card with 16M (should be here tommorow.)
That is my <current> setup. now, the error
I loadbsd -b netbsd from Ados, it boots into BSD properly, then
fd0 to boot from the floppies made from rawwrite 0 inst-10.fs
path for shell: <hit return like the FAQ says>
do you want to install [N]? hit y like the FAQ says.
At this point it tries to scan for root device and returns
FATAL ERROR:
No devices for disks of type SD.
This is probably a bug in the install disks.
Exiting install program.

aand that's where it all ends, is this because of the oktagon SCSI-II controller? If so, what do I need to do to write an oktagon SCSI-II device for NETBSD?
thanks for supporting the Amiga
