Greets All-

I'm having a problem with syslogd and newsyslog on my machine (a
P5-100/32MB/8GB) running NetBSD1.1

This machine is supposed to be running as a news server, but the server
keeps throttling, and I recieve mail from the cron daemon that:

/usr/bin/newsyslog: warning - could not restart syslogd: No such process

I checked in /var/run/ and was able to find "syslog.pid", but if I try to kill
that process, I get a message that there is "No such process".

syslogd seem to work correctly as I recieve log messages from other
services that use the facility, so I'm confused as to how to resolve this
problem...

Any Ideas?

Tnx.
