My machine, a DECpc 466D2lp with a Kingston TurboChip 133 is currently
running with 32MB (2x16) of RAM.  I have tried to install more RAM (to
a total of 40MX (2x16 + 2x4) or 64MB (4x16)), but in both cases I am
loosing performance.

With 32MB, a compilation of Emacs 19.34 takes approximately 17 minutes
running in singleuser.  With 64 MB I gave up after 45 minutes.

My system is running NetBSD 1.2 with the isadma-REL-1.2-patch.

Unfortunately I do not have knowledge of how to find the bottleneck,
and hope someone can give me some hints and ideas.
