I have a perl script that checks the source tree and lists invalid
man page crossreferences (which have to fixed manually
unfortunately - expect large patch soon :)
I have one question - (excuse me if I use an except from date.1)

Is this legitimate? I'd like someone to say '.Xr must always have
a section number' as that is what the script currently checks.
Otherwise I have to change it to warn on missing section numbers
only if it has not seen an earlier .Xr with the number, or its in
the SEE ALSO section.
Hmm.. simple to do actually, but not tonight :)
