Ahhhh you need to add another ldconfig line:
if [ -f /sbin/ldconfig ]; then
echo 'creating runtime link editor directory cache.'
ldconfig
ldconfig /usr/X11R6/lib
fi
To do the X libraries - this works fine for me....
