Hello,
I am having a problem with the Miniroot installer Rev. 1.7
when trying to download a miniroot file system across NFS to an HP345 box.
I can boot SYS_INST on the HP345 across the network, from an HP700 (using
HPs' rbootd): have set up disc partitions on its internal Rodime disc. But
get a hang during use of the minroot installer:
sys_inst> miniroot
Server IP address? <NFS server addr>
Server Path? /netbsd
WARNING: bad date in battery clock
... hangs until system is reset
The NFS server is on the same sub-net as the HP 345, but it does not see
any mount requests for "/netbsd". The netmask is correct and I have tried
specifying the HP345 as the router, other machines on the sub-net,
or not supplying a router address, but it makes no difference. Listening
with tcpdump for packets from the HP 345 gives
arp who-has <NFS server addr> tell <HP 345>
So the installer is asking the right question - but nothing further happens.
I would appreciate any help, as I am keen to evaluate NetBSD 1.3 on our
collection of s300 boxes: HP345s, HP375, HP360 HP318s and HP319s.
