Sorry if I've overlooked the obvious, but how does one access the
virtual terminals?  I've set ttyE1 and ttyE2 to 'on' and changed both to
group 'tty' to match the listing for ttyE0 in /etc/ttys, but when I
reboot I get ttyE1 and ttyE2 'device not configured' errors.

Application is an IBM 755c ThinkPad with 20M RAM and 486DX4 processor.
