I tried under vmware 1.0 with no success. But reading your message inspired me
to try on 1.1 for Linux. But vmware panics BUG F(555):415 bugNr=2831 while
loading the kernel from the bootfloppy. Nothing about the particular bugNr on
www.vmware.com.

Might have to do with Linux versions. Mine is an old RH 5.2 (just my pc at work
;-) ). Whats yours?
