According to the web site, support for 3com cardbus ethernet has been
included in 'current'.  I tried to do an ftp install onto a laptop, and
found that the 'ex' driver was not part of the install floppy, and the
web site doesn't seem to provide information on how to acquire that
driver.

Where would I find it, if I wished to add it?
