An easy install? I mean, the install is well described on the netbsd webpages.
Furthermore, when you want to use netbsd, you should be interested in it.
Netbsd isnt just a desktop os or an os meant for the x86 platform.
Its platform independ as possible and offers clean code in a way the others
and certainly
linux cant offer. A little bit knowledge of disks, how it works, bytes, sectors,
tracks, cilinders etc would be nice. Especially for an admin and certainly
for ppl who code and such. So i am saying is that if ppl dont want to think
and just install an os and expect it to work, they shouldnt try netbsd.
Cause no matter what you install, in many cases you have to create or adjust
config files, perhaps adjust some code and compile etc.
And may i mention the packages tree?
There is no linux distribution which offers this.
Indeed even not debian is this far. Simple installing is nice.
Linux distributions got to learn from this.
Now, perhaps i am far from complete and in some aspects not right.
I dont want to offend ppl, but this is what i personally think.
But i know little and maybe wrong in this.
