``Compiled C scripts''?  Do you mean regular programs compiled from
regular C source files, or something else?  (Just to be 100% sure that we
are talking about the same thing...)

You say that you don't have source; are the binaries compiled for native
NetBSD execution, or do you have to use BSDi/FreeBSD/LINUX emulation to
make them run?

If the binaries are compiled for native NetBSD execution, you might try
building a custom kernel, and make sure that 1.3 compatibility options are
enabled.  (I'm not sure to what extent things may change between OS
revisions, but if you intend to run old binaries under a new kernel, it is
probably a good idea to turn on backwards compatibility options just to be
safe.)

If that doesn't work, and the supplying company won't replace them for you
with current versions, I'm not sure what to suggest.  (It might help,
though, if you could say more about the kinds of problems you can
observe.  Are there warnings?  Error messages?  What signs does the
computer give you that there are problems?)
