Hi.

/etc/ld.so.conf did not exist, so I created it with an entry for /usr/X11R6/lib.  No change.  Read the man page for ld.so.conf which directed me to the "ldconfig" utility.  "find / -name ldconfig" returns nothing.

I also tried defining LD_LIBRARY_PATH as per the man page for ldconfig, but this doesn't appear to have had any effect.
