I DO hate to give up!!!
I now have tried to install FreeBSD and have a different set of installat=
ion
problems.
However, I do wish to stay with NetBSD. And the pressure is mounting. W=
e got
out Compaq ProLiant 1500 this am. So now I'll be expected to work more
miracles!!
Back to the issue. The startX problems appears to be related to how I
configure for the mouse. Also, the keyboard doesn't seem to configure
correctly either. The issue is XF86. I thought the software was include=
d on
the NetBSD cd. Perhaps it is not there. I selected in Xserver and I ass=
umed
(!)this would then call the correct software from the cd rom. Do I need =
to
download XF86?
And thanks again for your encouragement.
