Also let us know what physical connections your network card has and what
physical connection you are using. The most likely choices are:
1) UTP: Unshielded Twisted Pair, typically an RJ45 modular jack
CAT5: Shielded (I think) Twisted Pair, typically an RJ45 modular jack
10BaseT
100BaseTX, etc
2) ThinNet: 50 Ohm coax cable with a BNC connection
10Base2
3) AUI: Attachment Unit Interface, typically a DB15 with a slide latch
ThickNet is a common nickname for this connection type
