Yes, I get the very same error too. But it works anyway, so I haven't dig
into it very much :)
Oh yes, and if you're using a custom kernel, remember to include the BPF
option somewhere near the end of the configuration file (the line is
there, you just need it to be uncommented -- remove the # :)
I can't say if it's on in GENERIC, but I think yes.
Also, be sure to have put ex0 as a parameter to dhclient in your
/etc/rc.conf
