Hello all,
Can NetBSD 1.4.2 run on two HDDs?
I am installing NetBSD 1.4.2 via ftp on a Sun SparcStation 10.
The system has two SCSI HDDs (sd0 and sd1).
sd0 has 258 MB and sd1 has 520 MB
I am using the installation floppy from
/pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-1.4.2/sparc/installation/bootfs/syboot-142.fs.gz
What is the difference between syboot-142.fs.gz and boot-142.fs.gz in
that directory?
I'd like to put the root and and /var filesystems, as well as the
swap partition on sd0 and put the /home and /usr filesystems on sd1.
However, after the first two preliminary questions at the beginning of the
installation process, the tools indicates to me:
"I have found the following disks: sd0 sd1"
"On which disk do you want to install NetBSD? [sd0]:"
I want to answer this question with both drives, however the tool
only lets me enter one or the other.
How do I go about doing what I describe above.
Thanks!
Best,
Saverio Perugini
