Here's config.log for lynx. The config.log for mutt showed that
configure died at the same spot.
*** begin ***
This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.
configure:640: checking host system type
configure:695: checking for gcc
configure:808: checking whether the C compiler (cc -O2 -Wl,-R/usr/pkg/lib -L/usr/pkg/lib -Wl,-R/usr/pkg/lib -L/usr/pkg/lib) works
configure:824: cc -o conftest -O2 -I/usr/pkg/include -Wl,-R/usr/pkg/lib -L/usr/pkg/lib -Wl,-R/usr/pkg/lib -L/usr/pkg/lib conftest.c -L/usr/pkg/lib -lintl 1>&5
/usr/bin/ld: cannot open -lintl: No such file or directory
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
configure: failed program was:
#line 819 "configure"
#include "confdefs.h"
main(){return(0);
*** end ***
It seems to die because it can't find intl. Is this libintl.so.1
that has been lost?
Thanks,
Dave Chapman
