I find that after some time (1 or 2 days)  I get a couple of 'zombie' processes.  How do you kill these and remove
them from the process list 'ps -aux'?   I tried 'kill -9 'pid'' but it just says 'process not found'.

Not sure where they are coming from - possibly ssh or netscape.
