I've got 1.4 compatibility in, since that was the most recent full
release.  What's missing is 1.3.

Given that most of the voices look like they work without mbrola, that
mbrola is in binary-only form, and that I don't really need any speech
synth., much less the mbrola-dependant part...  The best solution is just
to not install mbrola.  (^&
