Ok, I give up :)

I've compiled a million or so custom kernels, and have even just
compiled the default GENERIC_LAPTOP, but no matter what I do I just get:

xi0: discarding oversize frame

errors when I try send/receive anything over the network, and nothing
gets transmitted.

GENERIC_LAPTOP *should* be identical to the kernel shipped with
bootlap[12].fs, right?  Yet the default kernel which was installed
with NetBSD-1.5 works absolutely perfectly.

Machine is a Sony VAIO PGC-F807k with an extra 128Mb and a 16bit Intel
EtherExpress pccard running netbsd-1-5 as of yesterday (and running
around 10-20 seperate spots along the netbsd-1.5 branch since -release).

Other than this rather annoying problem, I'm having a great time playing
around with NetBSD - kernel threads to handle pccard/usb devices instead
of running pccardd/usbd on FreeBSD which I'm used to is a nice touch :)

P.S  I wrote a small patch for FreeBSD ages ago to make ccdconfig use
sysctl to read back ccd information rather than via libkvm - would
anyone be interested if I ported it across to NetBSD?  It's at
http://www.bsdcode.net/ccd_sysctl.diff if anyone cares.
