I reported earlier some problems with USB devices. I see what may be a
similar problem reported by Ted Lemon in the send-pr database---but
attempting to email him about it bounced. So, I thought that I'd ask
others if this sounds familiar. (Ted's PR is still open, I believe, so
this may provide some further insight.)

Ted's problem was that his mouse (plugged into a USB hub on his USB
keyboard) had to be (re)plugged in AFTER booting NetBSD. This was about a
year ago, in August of 2000.

Previously, I'd reported a problem with a USB<=>Parallel adaptor (used for
my printer). The problem seems to be be the SAME problem as Ted had with
his mouse.

Since that time, I've moved down to Houston, and in the process I appear
to have switched my USB devices. NOW my printer works correctly after
boot, but I must (re)plug my keyboard into the computer after boot.

After a certain amount of frustration, I've put the keyboard temporarily
back on the PS/2 port (the keyboard is an MS keyboard that can go on
either type of port).

This sounds like the same problem. Has anyone else experienced this,
where with 2 USB devices, 1 USB device needs to be reattached,
post-boot, in order to be used?

I'm sorry, no dmesg is available from me---my NetBSD box is at home and
I'm writing this from an office. (It's an MS-WINDOWS machine at
that---shhh, don't tell anyone.)
