Hello Marc,
you need to know your machines ID on the network, once you do simply insert
this line in /etc/dhclient.conf
interface "rtk0"{
send dhcp-client-identifier "xxxxxxxxx";
}
replace "rtk0" with your network device (dmesg|more and find it there if you
do not know it) and replace xxxxxxx with your machines ID on the network.
with the line:
dhclient=YES
in your /etc/rc.conf you should be ready to go.
/etc/rc.d/dhclient start
alternatlivly if you are given a static IP address you can configure your
network device manually.
