If you know docbook, you can use
http://mama.sourceforge.net/perl/current/doc/html/ to convert it into
groff. It's a perl script. I used it for
http://www.netmeister.org/misc/m2p2 - see some sgml input files under
http://www.netmeister.org/misc/m2p2/sgml/
