If I use the mixerctl, will that also kill off other sound output? I
can't find inputs.speaker on the mixerctl man-page.
I run almost exclusively in X, so the xset solution (short, quiet, higher
pitch) works pretty well. And it doesn't interfere with XMMS playing my
.ogg collection. (^& It would be a little nicer if I could set the
beep/bell in a completely system-wide manner (not just on the X server)
without interfering with anything else, though.
