Ans: when "console" is not identical to "ttyE0", for example, when
"console" is a serial port.

Either that, or turn off "console". The "console" port is useful if
you have both a serial terminal and a video card, or if you don't know
what you'll have (as in a newly installed system), but it's not
particularly helpful in your case.
