I've done this where the machines are incompatible. There's a a variable
in /etc/mk.conf that you can set to cause builds to go into architecture-
specific directories. I was happily surprised to see that this also
affects pkgsrc (which is also shared on my systems).
For this, set:
OBJMACHINE= yes
...in /etc/mk.conf.
I think that there is another variable that will use machine hostnames, if
you have multiple builds by the same architecture. I don't need that, so I
stopped with what I have. (Check BUILDING for the NetBSD-current sources.)
