Hi everybody,

I'm running NetBSD 1.6.2. and I'm trying to update XFree86 4.3.0 to 4.4.0. with pkgsrc (I downloaded the tarball pkgsrc.tar.gz from ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/NetBSD-current/tar_files/).

But while compiling XFree-clients, I get the followig error-message:

==> Xrandr-1.0.2nb1 won't build without the X Extension
==> library which is only present in XFree86>=4.3.

I've found a message in the archives concerning this problem:
http://mail-index.netbsd.org/tech-pkg/2004/03/15/0001.html
So, there should be a patch. But unfortunately, it still doesn't work.
Does anybody know how to make it work?

I got another information that /probably/, I could fetch XFree86 4.4.0
with "cvs co -rnetbsd-2-0 xsrc" to install it in /usr/X11R6. Is that
possible under 1.6.2.?

Any other ideas how I could update my XFree86-version?
I need the new trident-driver because the old one doesn't work.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Best
Stephan
