I've had NFS over IPv6 (sitelocal addresses e.g. fec0:: ) working on two 1.6.2 
machines (macppc and i386)
However, I was unable to get it to work until I referenced everything by name 
(i.e. setting up 'IN AAAA' records my nameserver's zonefiles). I don't know 
how /etc/hosts works; but I suspect it's basically (an example sed script) 
"s/server6/3ffe:1:2:3::2"
