Hej,
I've heard about the advantages of sockstat years ago.
We could import the sockstat source code from FreeBSD, I think.
But I can't do that myself. The Code is located here:
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/src/usr.bin/sockstat/
Maybe, someone could compile, test and import it to NetBSD.
