I'd appreciate a quick hint about a step in the etcupdate process. It's about
mtree, which I have tried to find out about, but still don't understand
really what it does. I will look into it further - if anyone can point
me somewhere other than the FM - but in the meantime, should I choose d or i
for the questions about the /etc/mtree files?

Guess: mtree is some kind of record of the file permissions I have changed and
so should not be overwritten.
