The Menlo Park based Network Systems Group of Sun Microsystems
(www.sun.com) is seeking a Lead System Software QA/Test Engineer:

This person will perform test development and senior quality assurance
leadership on x86 platforms; analyze product functional specifications;
devise test strategies; write test plans; execute tests; analyze test
results; generate test reports; file defects and follow up on
resolution; and support developers test needs. The person in this role
works with project managers and group managers to support project
requirements and may perform application or middleware level testing;
switches testing; or component level of the tape or storage testing.

Required knowledge, skills and education include a minimum of 7 years of
relevant experience; BSCS/CE; experience in low-level OS primitives
(networking, I/O, memory, drivers, etc.); testing using Linux/Solaris;
knowledge of system hardware architectures; QA methodologies; shell
scripting; excellent verbal communication and writing skills; good
understanding and experience with test automation concepts; project
management; and  system test. The ideal candidate will have specific
experience in system level or integration testing on x86 platforms
running Linux and/or Solaris Operating System.
