Finally installed XFree4.2 on my main system.  Now fxtv whines

)Xlib:  extension "XFree86-DGA" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib:  extension "XFree86-VidModeExtension" missing on display ":0.0".
Direct Video not supported by visual...using XImages

and gmplayer says

Xlib:  extension "XVideo" missing on display ":0.0".
Sorry, Xv not supported by this X11 version/driver

Are these features supported on NetBSD?  My gfx board is Matrox G200 for
now.
