Are the mouse and the rtk0 on the same interrupt?
Does the kernel log anything when it stops working (try the "dmesg" command
once it stopped working, or look in /var/log/messages).
Does it start to work again if you do "ifconfig rtk0 down" and then
"ifconfig rtk0 up"?
